Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not in a "race" to find love again, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this story. We're told it's "not true."
According to Closer, Pitt and Jolie are "determined to prove they've moved on" from each other and are now competing against one another to find a new loved one. The magazine asserts the actress is dating a "handsome older man," while Pitt is hoping to be set up with "someone new away from the spotlight." A so-called "source" is then quoted as saying, "Ange finally feels more like herself again, even though it's still early days with her new boyfriend," an unnamed and seemingly untraceable "real estate agent." "When she was introduced to her new man, it very much came at a time where she felt ready to start dating again," maintains the tabloids tipster.
The outlet's alleged "insider" goes on to contend, "Although matters between her and Brad are reasonably amicable at the moment, it's important to Ange that she shows the world she's in a happy, settled place when those papers are signed." It's further purported by the publication's supposed "source" that Pitt can "sense this," and there's "almost a race going on between them to prove they have drawn a line and fully moved on."
As for Pitt, the magazine asserts he's "done with dating high-profile actresses, where their every move is scrutinized." The outlet's questionable "source" adds, "He's become far more insular since his split from Ange and wants a quieter life, so he's asking close pals to set him up with women who are more down-to-earth."
Actually, the are more holes in the tabloid's story than Swiss cheese. While the tabloid claims, "It's important to Ange that she shows the world she's in a happy, settled place," why then hasn't she introduced her "new boyfriend" to the world? Also, what's his name? What does he look like? How long have they been dating? Naturally, the gossip magazine doesn't have any answers because it's all false.
Gossip Cop, however, fact-checked the outlet's article and it's easy to prove that they're not in a "race" to find love again" and looking to show the other that "they've moved on." A source close to Jolie tells us on background that it's "not true." Contrary to Closer's contention, as confirmed also by both Us Weekly and People, Jolie is not seeing anyone, including the unidentified "real estate agent," nor has she dated anyone since she and Pitt separated.
Additionally, while Pitt has been spending time with MIT professor Neri Oxman, a rep for the actor told Gossip Cop on the record that they're just friends, who share an interest in architecture and design. Other outlets as well have verified that Pitt is simply friends with Oxman. "Some people seem to be exaggerating this into something that doesn't exist," E! News was told by an insider. Gossip Cop wishes the tabloid had been in more of a "race" to check its claims before publishing them.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
