A tabloid report claiming Brad Pitt is finally ready to move on from Angelina Jolie with Margot Robbie is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. It’s simply fabricated.
According to Woman’s Day, however, Pitt is looking to settle down with a new woman now that the two-year anniversary of his split is approaching, and he’s set his sights on his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “Margot and Brad get along great and their chemistry is off the charts… They’ve bonded over a shared love of motorcycles, and Margot has been showing an interest in Brad’s sculpture work.”
The outlet’s questionable source goes on to say that Pitt is attracted to Robbie because “she’s so down-to-earth” and “not obsessed with her looks like so many women in Hollywood.” The actress is happily married to assistant director Tom Ackerley, but according to the alleged source, that hasn’t stopped Pitt from pursuing her. The supposed tipster further contends that Pitt is hoping to “get his whole life back on track” amid his custody battle, and that involves finding “the right person.” “Margot is pretty much his ultimate girl,” adds the seemingly made-up source.
The tabloid’s story is simply untrue. “Entertainment Tonight,” a much more reliable celebrity news outlet than Woman’s Day, recently reported that Pitt “has taken a step away from dating” during his custody battle. It was also noted that the actor “doesn’t want to rock the boat” by getting involved with another woman. “He wants to try to co-parent and the last thing he needs right now is to start another war,” explained the entertainment site. Simply put, trying to steal a married co-star away from her husband probably wouldn’t bode well for his custody case.
Additionally, this narrative isn’t original. There have already been several bogus stories about Pitt trying to pursue Robbie on the set of their movie. The actor’s own spokesperson has told us in the past that the attempt to romantically link the two is “entirely predictable.” For example, Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline in June for falsely claiming that Pitt had a “crush” on Robbie.
This past March, Gossip Cop debunked a phony NW report about Pitt “hitting on” Robbie at an Oscar party. Unfortunately, the tabloids will likely continue to peddle this bogus narrative up until Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is released next July. But recycling a false premise doesn’t make it true.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
