(Getty Images)Is Brad Pitt using mystic healer and jewelry designer Sat Hari Khalsa to cope with the pain of his divorce from Angelina Jolie? That’s the claim in one of the tabloids. Gossip Cop has learned it’s inaccurate.
Last month, the actor was spotted laughing and chatting with the spiritual adviser at the annual Silverlake Conservatory of Music gala, which was founded by their mutual friend Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The National Enquirer is now claiming that Pitt has turned to Khalsa for holistic therapy as he navigates his custody battle with Jolie. To sell its story, the outlet uses the headline, “Stressed Out Brad Gets Some Hippie-Dippie Help!”
The magazine claims that Khalsa “has turned [Pitt] onto the power of stones and mind-bending mystic therapies,” such as Ozone therapy, a form of alternative medicine that pumps ozone gas into one’s body to treat disease. An alleged insider tells the outlet, “Word is she’s making some special jewelry with ‘healing energy’ just for him.” The supposed insider further contends that Pitt has been revealing his “deepest, darkest secrets” to her.
The tabloid’s premise is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable “source,” but Gossip Cop checked in with Pitt’s rep, who dismissed the story. Although it’s true that Pitt and Khalsa “are definitely very close,” as People magazine reported last week, she isn’t acting as his spiritual healer. The publication simply found a way to link the actor’s friendship with the jewelry designer to his divorce from Jolie.
It’s reasonable to believe that Pitt has discussed some of his personal issues with Khalsa, as he probably would with any friend, but the idea that she’s practicing holistic medicine on him simply isn’t true. It should be noted, Gossip Cop recently busted the Enquirer‘s sister publication, RadarOnline, for falsely claiming that Pitt was dating Khalsa. This latest article doesn’t make any mention of a romance. It’s always a red flag when related publications have different storylines going.
Additionally, the tabloid has proven to have very little insight into what’s going on with the actor’s divorce from Jolie. In August, Gossip Cop corrected the magazine for wrongly reporting that Pitt had won the custody battle and his six kids chosen to live with him. The children are still living with Jolie and custody negotiations are ongoing. This latest article involving Pitt’s friendship with Khalsa is similarly false.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
