Brad Pitt was not warned by a friend that Angelina Jolie is threatening to reveal a "dark secret" about him, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the story. It's simply fabricated.
According to OK!, Jolie doesn't trust her estranged husband and worries he's going to push for more time with their kids than she's willing to allow when it comes to their divorce settlement. An alleged insider tells the magazine the actress has a plan in case he tries to do so. "Word is, Brad recently heard from a friend that Angie's been telling people she has a 'dark secret' about him - and isn't afraid to use it if he tries to embarrass her in court."
Naturally, the questionable source has no idea what this information entails, but still maintains, "No one wats their deepest secrets exposed - especially someone like Brad, who has such a high-profile career and has put a ton of effort into cleaning up his act." The anonymous tipster adds, "The situation isn't ideal, but Brad knows he needs to stay positive for the sake of his kids."
The outlet's premise is based on the word of an unknown insider, but Gossip Cop reached out to Pitt's spokesperson, who tells us on the record there's "no truth" to it. A rep qualified to speak on the actor's behalf tells us there's simply "no secret we know about."
Of course, we're not surprised by OK!'s bogus article. The tabloid has printed nothing but fiction about the ex-couple's divorce negotiations. In February, the magazine painted a very different picture by falsely claiming Pitt and Jolie were calling off their divorce after making peace during a meeting to discuss custody arrangements. As Gossip Cop said at the time, there's no reconciliation happening.
Around a year ago, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for making up a story about Jolie being "tortured by regret" over leaving Pitt. Back in 2017, the unreliable outlet said Pitt had moved back in with Jolie and their kids. Now that it's become very clear the estranged spouses aren't getting back together, the tabloid is reversing course and going with a scenario involving threats and "dark secrets." It's no more accurate.
It's also worth noting, this isn't the first time a tabloid has alleged that Jolie planned on exposing damaging information about her ex. Earlier this year, Gossip Cop called out OK!'s sister publication, Star, for alleging Jolie planned to leak a video of Pitt going for a "drunken joyride" in an airport golf cart. No such footage exists. There's no "dark secret" either.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
