As Gossip Cop reported, Bolton and Sharna Burgess were voted off “Dancing With The Stars” on Monday. During the show, Bolton danced twice, performing an Argentine tango to Imagine Dragon’s “Believer,” and a raunchy trio jazz routine with his partner and Britt Stewart. Unfortunately, his efforts were not nearly enough to secure him a place in next week’s show, resulting in the eighth ballroom upset. Following Monday’s broadcast, both Bolton and Burgess opened up on “GMA” about their elimination.

When asked if the couple were disappointed to be voted off from the dancing competition, Burgess said, “I think it definitely comes as a disappointment, everybody wants to go all the way, we’re competitors at the end of the day.” She continued, “But we’re also incredibly grateful that we made it to the top five of ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ and how incredibly proud I am of [Bolton]. We were inspiring so many people, they just wanted to keep seeing him get out there and do his best.”

Bolton, who was was paralyzed from the neck down in 2016 after he was bucked off a bull, went on to talk about his miraculous recovery and “Dancing With The Stars” journey. “16 months ago, I was laying face up in a hospital bed wondering if I was ever going to walk again. I had 1-5% of chance of ever doing that,” he said. “I broke down in tears last night on the plane over, just thinking about how far I’ve come in the last 16 months, it’s really touching. It’s really humbling.” Watch the full “GMA” interview below! NOTE: The video is no longer available.
