Blake Shelton celebrated the release of his new album, If I’m Honest, on Friday’s “Live with Kelly.” Watch below!

Shelton joined Kelly Ripa and co-host Daniel Dae Kim to talk about the new record, which officially came out at midnight. He was met by extensive cheers when he came out on stage, prompting him to say “Live” always has the “best audience.” Ripa told him, “This is for you. They’ve been waiting a long time.”

And before getting down to business, Ripa told the country superstar, “I worship your girlfriend.” The Gwen Stefani reference prompted more cheers, and Shelton responded, “I get it.” He went on to discuss their new duet, “Go Ahead And Break My Heart,” revealing they wrote it “at the end of last year.” It was positive feedback from family that led Shelton to include it on his new record, a decision he’s quite happy about.

“The reaction to that thing’s been crazy,” he said, going on to joke about their “crossover appeal” by saying, “She has a better chance of crossing over to my world than I do going ska.” Shelton also discussed his voice role in The Angry Birds Movie, out today, and later in the show, he performed “Came Here To Forget.” There was also a hilarious moment involving a foul smell.
