In the world of the tabloids, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have gotten secretly married several times. Gossip Cop has debunked many variations on this phony narrative. Here are five wrong rumors.

Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for falsely claiming Stefani and Shelton were having a baby after tying the knot in a “low key” ceremony at his Oklahoma ranch. The outlet further contended that the couple would be having a second wedding in Los Angeles because most of Stefani’s friends couldn’t make the trip to Oklahoma. The article was based on claims from an anonymous “source,” but the No Doubt singer’s rep told us on the record it was all untrue.

Last November, Gossip Cop called out the Globe for wrongly reporting that Stefani and Shelton secretly got married in Nevada. According to the magazine, the country star “whisked” his girlfriend away to Reno, where they got a marriage license and had a private ceremony with a preacher in their hotel room. Shortly after we debunked the made-up story, Stefani confirmed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that she’s not engaged or married to Shelton.

Last August, Gossip Cop debunked a Star story about Stefani and Shelton getting married on his Oklahoma ranch. The article maintained that the famous couple had been secretly married for six months, having had a ceremony on the country star’s ranch with 45 friends and family members. No such ceremony occurred. Stefani’s rep, speaking on her behalf, assured us at the time that the report was fabricated. As of a few months ago, Stefani said she feels “zero pressure” to get married to Shelton.

Gossip Cop busted OK! in January 2018 for making up a story about Shelton and Stefani getting married in a “backyard wedding.” The outlet contended that 27 of the couple’s closest friends “gathered in Gwen’s back garden” for a small ceremony that “only set them back $23,000.” A spokesperson for Stefani, however, assured us she didn’t tie the knot in her backyard. As time has proven, no such ceremony took place.

And finally, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style in July 2017 for publishing a similar story about Stefani and Shelton having a secret wedding at her Los Angeles home. The tabloid threw in a bunch of phony details about the (nonexistent) ceremony, such as Stefani’s two oldest sons walking her down the aisle. It was also said that Shelton had special bracelets made for the entire family. As with all of the stories mentioned above, Stefani’s rep went on the record to dismiss it. The passage of time has also discredited the premise.
