One of this week’s tabloids claims Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been spending millions of dollars on IVF treatments over the years, with no success. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

According to In Touch, Stefani is ready to give up her dream of having a baby with Shelton after years of trying to conceive a little girl. An alleged insider tells the magazine that the singer has “spent about $4 million on treatments,” adding, “The money doesn’t matter, of course – it’s just been emotionally and physically grueling, and she wants to stop IVF. She hasn’t told Blake yet. She’s heartbroken and in tears over it.”

The supposed source further contends that Stefani is nervous about telling her boyfriend that she intends to stop IVF “because she knows he’s been hoping to have a child of his own.” The suspicious tipster adds, “She and Blake are always saying how blessed they are with what they already have, with her boys [with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale]. But Gwen knows Blake wants a baby. It just hasn’t happened for them, and she’s a wreck over it.” The “insider” concludes, “Adoption and surrogacy are always an option. So she hasn’t given up all hope. But for now, Gwen’s baby dream is on hold.”

The tabloid’s bogus story is based on claims from an unidentified “source,” but Gossip Cop reached out to Stefani’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it’s “untrue.” Despite what the outlet’s anonymous “insider” claims, a rep qualified to speak on the singer’s behalf assures us she and Shelton haven’t spent millions of dollars on IVF treatments.

It’s worth noting, In Touch has trouble keeping track of its phony narratives about the famous couple. Back in November, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby and the two were getting married on his Oklahoma ranch. In addition to neither of those things ever panning out, this latest article makes no mention of them.

Back in March 2018, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for wrongly reporting that Shelton had “dumped” Stefani. And in November 2017, the unreliable outlet insisted that Stefani had a “baby on the way.” Neither of those alleged developments occurred either. It’s clear the tabloid has little insight into the couple’s relationship, which is why it chooses to make up fake stories about the pair instead. This latest one surrounding millions spent on IVF is more fiction.
