Gwen Stefani did NOT put Blake Shelton on a no-alcohol diet to get him to lose weight, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to the National Enquirer, the No Doubt singer got her boyfriend to drop 85 pounds by making him swear off booze. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “She told Blake that his regimen of guzzling beer, rum and tequila turned her off. So she gave him an ultimatum, it was either her or the bottle.”

The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “When Blake and Gwen first got together, he was still hitting the bottle pretty much every day,” but he “didn’t want to lose her, so he got with the program.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a rep for Stefani, who exclusively assures us she never forced her boyfriend to go on an alcohol-free diet, and the claim otherwise is simply “not true.”

Unfortunately, Gossip Cop has repeatedly busted the Enquirer for its many inaccurate stories about the couple, so this latest fabrication comes as no surprise. We previously corrected the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Stefani and Shelton were starring in a remake of “Gunsmoke.” We also debunked the publication’s tale about Stefani being turned off by Shelton’s bad breath. This latest claim is equally phony.
