A new report claiming that Beyonce "stiffs the staff" at the Beverly Hills Hotel whenever she visits is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the allegation. We're told it's false.
According to RadarOnline, all of the employees at the upscale hotel hate whenever Beyonce and Jay Z show up because the singer never tips. An so-called "hotel worker" tells the site, "They even call her 'Cheap-Yonce' because she is so frugal. She doesn't even tip a penny!"
The supposed source goes on to say that Jay Z attempts to make up for his wife's alleged "stinginess," but "Beyonce gives him a dirty look" whenever he's generous towards the workers. "She is so cheap," concludes the seemingly nonexistent insider. "She takes the name all the way to the game with being stingy."
But Gossip Cop checked in with sources at the Beverly Hills Hotel, none of whom were aware of Beyonce stiffing the staff. Insiders at the establishment had also never heard of any employees complaining about the singer not tipping. Although it's true that Beyonce occasionally visits the Polo Lounge at the hotel, we're told she hasn't earned a reputation for being cheap.
This report seems to have been concocted because Beyonce and Jay Z have a combined worth of more than $1 billion, which would make it particularly absurd if the singer was actually stingy. However, there's no truth to the report. In fact, Gossip Cop previously busted RadarOnline's sister publication, Star, for making up a similar story about Beyonce and Jay Z not tipping employees who worked a party at their Malibu mansion.
Also, the unreliable blog has a habit of painting Beyonce as difficult. Gossip Cop previously called out the site for falsely claiming the singer demanded a "silent delivery room" when she gave birth to her twins last year. Shortly before that nonsense, the outlet fabricated an article about Beyonce banning her sister Solange from the delivery room.
Clearly, it's becoming a pattern for the website to allege that Beyonce mistreats other people, but the claim is completely unfounded. The singer, who's been known to support many charities over the years, isn't known as "Cheap-Yonce" at the Beverly Hills Hotel or anywhere else. This is a non-story.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
