Did Beyonce and Jay-Z actually ask former President Barack Obama’s secret service detail to help protect their newborn twins? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has exclusively learned the truth. Hint: It’s not true.

An article in the latest issue of Star quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Jay-Z had Obama’s team take a look at the blueprints for their Malibu rental and tell him exactly what they would’ve changed if Barack and Michelle were staying there.” The outlet’s supposed insider further claim the famous couple is also spending $25,000 a day on a home security system for their babies, including “cameras covering every nook and cranny along with metal detectors and a panic room.”

Despite how unlikely this all sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us Beyonce and Jay-Z never consulted with Obama’s security team for tips on safeguarding their house. The magazine’s story is entirely fabricated. Sadly, this comes as no surprise since Gossip Cop has busted the tabloid on multiple occasions for its tall tales about the two music superstars.

Last year, for example, Gossip Cop called out Star when it wrongly reported Beyonce was running for office after catching “political fever” while campaigning for Hillary Clinton. A rep for the singer exclusively assured us the story was “ridiculous,” and time has proven us correct since she’s hasn’t embarked on a political career. Gossip Cop also debunked the tabloid’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, when it falsely claimed earlier this year that Beyonce and Jay-Z were on the verge of a “$1 billion divorce.” Of course, the spouses are still very much together. Much like those articles, the latest one involving the Obamas’ secret service detail is equally untrue.
