You’re never too old to earn an invitation to the Motion Picture Academy, as long as you’re still a working entertainer. On Wednesday, go-getter Betty White was invited to join the elite ranks at age 95.

As Gossip Cop has reported, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which oversees the Oscars, invites new members each year. Those invited join a certain branch, such as actors, directors or costume designers. Members are then eligible to vote in the Academy Awards.

A record 744 people from 57 countries are in the Class of 2017, including White. The beloved actress and comedienne started her career in 1939. In the decades since, she’s made her mark on small screen shows like “Match Game,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Golden Girls,” as well as in films, including The Proposal. As Gossip Cop reported, White appeared on the premiere of “Little Big Shots: Forever Young” just last week.

Additional invitees include Viola Davis, who won Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards earlier this year, and Mahershala Ali, who took home Best Supporting Actor. Nominees Naomie Harris and Barry Jenkins also scored invitations, as did Ruth Negga, Lucas Hedges and Viggo Mortensen. Other notable acting names include Riz Ahmed, Debbie Allen, Monica Bellucci, Daniel Bruhl, John Cho, Terry Crews, Priyanka Chopra, Adam Driver, Joel Edgerton, Chris Evans, Luke Evans, Elle Fanning, Anna Faris, Tom Felton, Rebecca Ferguson, Lou Ferrigno, Jeff Garlin, Domhnall Gleeson, Donald Glover, Judy Greer, Rupert Grint, Armie Hammer, Anne Heche, Chris Hemsworth, Aldis Hodge, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bonnie Hunt, Dwayne Johnson, Leslie Jones, Keegan-Mchael Key, Zoe Kravitz, Sanaa Lathan, Rami Malek, Leslie Mann, Kate McKinnon, Sienn Miller, Janelle Monae, Michelle Monaghan, Elizabeth Olsen, Sarah Paulson, Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Zachary Quinto, Edgar Ramirez, Phylicia Rashad, Margot Robbie, Maya Rudolph, Rodrigo Santoro, Amanda Seyfried, Molly Shannon, Hailee Steinfeld, Kristen Stewart, Wanda Sykes, Channing Tatum, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Rebel Wilson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Shailene Woodley and Donnie Yen.

Filmmakers David Ayer, Derek Cianfrance, Garth Davis, Tom Ford, Jordan Peele, Joseph Russo and Guy Ritchie are also among the new crop of members. After being plagued with diversity issues over the last few years, the Academy notes the new class is comprised of 39 percent women and 30 percent people of color. Gossip Cop will update should White comment on the honor.
