Benedict Cumberbatch Eddie Redmayne Magic Trick Graham Norton

(Graham Norton Show)

Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne, both of whom play wizards in their upcoming films, performed a magic trick together on Friday’s “Graham Norton Show.” Watch the video below!

Cumberbatch plays a sorcerer in Marvel’s upcoming superhero movie, Doctor Strange, while Redmayne displays his mystical powers in the Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In honor of their respective movies, the two actors teamed up on the British talk show to magically fill in the pages of a blank coloring book.

“This is a coloring book,” Redmayne announced as he held up his prop for the trick. “There’s nothing weird or bizarre about it other than it says the word magic on the front of it.” The actor then showed that the pages inside were completely blank, and so he asked fellow guest Bryan Cranston blow on the book, which resulted in black-and-white sketches appearing inside. But in order to color in the pictures, Redmayne needed Cumberbatch’s assistance.

The Doctor Strange star first tried unsuccessfully blowing on the book to color it in, but when that didn’t work, Redmayne handed him a wand to cast a spell on it. Naturally, the actor’s magic touch worked and Redmayne flipped through the pages to reveal a fully-colored book. Watch a highlight from the “Graham Norton Show” in the video below!
