Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's relationship has been the subject of a lot of false tabloid reports in 2019. Gossip Cop is awarding the top rumor to a storyline about the ex-spouses getting married again and having another baby. Nothing about the scenario was true.
In September, Gossip Cop busted Woman's Day for falsely claiming Affleck and Garner were getting married again in Hawaii. The magazine insisted the exes had "fallen back in love," and officially rekindled their romance at his birthday party, where the actor "got down on one knee" and proposed. As we noted at the time, Affleck celebrated his birthday with his three kids at a restaurant in Los Angeles, but Garner didn't join them. Still, we reached out to the actor's rep, who confirmed the article was fiction.
Just one month later, however, Woman's Day decided to amp things up by wrongly reporting that Garner was pregnant with Affleck's baby. The magazine came up with the premise after the actress was spotted at LSG Imaging, a Los Angeles medical clinic that specializes in ultrasounds. The outlet didn't mention that the clinic also specializes in mammograms, which Garner gets every October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The actress even shared an Instagram video of her visit to the clinic.
The tabloid also ignored the fact that Garner has been dating businessman John Miller for more than a year. The actress keeps her romance very private, but the two are still together. Garner and Affleck continue to co-parent their three kids together, but they finalized their divorce last year and have no intention of reuniting as a couple.
It seems the gossip media comes up with these stories about Affleck and Garner getting back together simply because they've remained amicable exes. In addition to spending joint time together with their kids, the actress has also been supportive of her ex-husband amid his struggles with sobriety. Just because a former couple isn't at war with each other doesn't mean they're retying the knot and welcoming another child.
Gossip Cop should note that our top 2018 rumor about Affleck and Garner was a story about them getting back together after he agreed to a "marriage and rehab ultimatum." The actor did in fact go to rehab last year, but it wasn't in order to save his marriage. In reality, the exes finalized their divorce just days after he left the treatment facility. The tabloids decided to throw in a wedding and a baby for 2019. One can only imagine what the gossip media has in store for 2020.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
