A tabloid claims Ben Affleck asked Jennifer Garner to get married again and she's ready to accept the proposal. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to Woman's Day Australia, the ex-spouses are headed towards a reconciliation after growing close again while co-parenting their three kids. A supposed source tells the magazine, "Ben knows it will take more than a bended knee and a diamond ring to make her his wife again. He's adamant he'll do what it takes. He told Jen in no uncertain terms he wants them to be a family again and he'd walk down the aisle in a heartbeat if she'd have him."
The alleged insider goes on to say that Garner was especially touched by her ex-husband praising her on Instagram in honor of Mother's Day. "She's basking in the fact he's wooing her and declaring his love in front of everyone," adds the questionable tipster. "It's simple but dedicated gestures like this that are winning Jen over - she looks like a woman falling in love all over again."
From there, the seemingly phony source says Affleck has brought up the idea of marriage, and although "it's a little too soon for Jen to walk down the aisle again," she's "not opposed to it down the line." The suspicious insider concludes, "Ben is fully aware that after everything he's put Jen through he needs to tread carefully. However, he also needs her to know how incredibly seriously he's taking this relationship. He'll do whatever it takes to make her want to be Mrs. Affleck again."
There's simply no truth to the magazine's narrative. For starters, Garner has been dating CaliGroup CEO John Miller since last year. The actress and her boyfriend were spotted smiling on a breakfast date in Los Angeles just last week. Affleck and Garner have remained on good terms following their split and successfully co-parent their three young kids. Sources close to both stars, however, have told us several times that they're not getting back together as a couple.
In April, Gossip Cop busted Woman's Day for wrongly reporting that Affleck and Garner were getting back together six months after finalizing their divorce. The premise wasn't true then and it's no more accurate now. Meanwhile, the outlet claimed back in January that Garner was pregnant with Miller's baby, which clearly isn't the case. The untrustworthy tabloid simply comes up with new storylines on a whim.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
