A new report claiming Ben Affleck is angry about Jennifer Garner allowing Josh Duhamel to spend time with their three kids is completely ridiculous. As Gossip Cop has repeatedly noted, Garner and Duhamel aren't dating. There's simply no truth to this nonexistent family drama.
Last month, OK! published a phony cover story alleging that Garner and Duhamel had developed a romance on the set of their upcoming movie Love, Simon. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, sources close to both stars have confirmed to Gossip Cop their relationship is entirely professional. Unfortunately, several disreputable outlets have continued spreading bogus rumors about the two being a new couple.
Earlier this week, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid Woman's Day for making up a story about Duhamel "playing stepdad" to Garner's young children, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 5. The outlet also maintained that the actor has brought his 4-year-old son Axl to Garner's house for dinner and movie nights. There was no truth to the story, but the unreliable magazine is now dragging Affleck into the phony narrative.
A so-called "source" tells the publication, "Ben doesn't begrudge her moving on, after all, he did it first with Lindsay [Shookus], but Jen has insisted that Lindsay stay away from their kids." The alleged insider adds, "Now Ben's hearing that Josh is spending way more time with Violet, Seraphina and Samuel than Jen lets on, and he thinks that's pretty hypocritical."
According to the seemingly made-up source, Garner doesn't care that her estranged husband is upset because "she says it was Ben who ruined their marriage and put them in this predicament in the first place." However, the tabloid's article is purely fictional and based on a false premise. Garner and Duhamel aren't dating, and he's certainly not hanging out with the actress's kids. Simply put, Affleck isn't disturbed by a nonexistent situation.
Garner and Duhamel have seemingly been linked because both are in the process of getting divorced and they appear in a movie together as parents. However, Garner recently admitted that she isn't interested in dating anyone at the moment. People also reported that Garner is "getting used to being single" and "isn't dating," which disproves the contention that she and Duhamel have been in a romance since they shot Love, Simon nearly a year ago. The co-stars will soon reunite to promote their new movie together, so we suspect that the tabloids will continue to wrongly insist they're a couple. Gossip Cop will continue to correct the false claims.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
