Ben Affleck has not dumped Lindsay Shookus and moved back in with Jennifer Garner, despite a completely untrue tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this phony narrative. We're told it's simply false.
According to Woman's Day, the estranged spouses recently decided to give their marriage another try, and now the actor is once again living with Garner and their three children. A so-called "source" tells the magazine, "He's determined to prove himself as a family man and begged Jen to let him prove that he's serious this time. He swears he's changed and the time apart has only made him realize how much less of a person he is without her."
The outlet's questionable insider further contends that Affleck broke up with his girlfriend once Garner allowed him back in the family's house. However, Affleck and Shookus were seen holding hands on Sunday in Hawaii, where the actor is shooting the upcoming Netflix movie Triple Frontier. The "Saturday Night Live" producer lives in New York City, but she and Affleck regularly travel to see each other. As this latest visit shows, they're still very much together.
As for the tabloid's assertion that Affleck has moved back in with his estranged wife and their kids, that isn't the case either. A source close to the actor, who declined to comment on the record, exclusively assures Gossip Cop that he and Garner aren't back together or living with one another. Additionally, Affleck was recently spotted house hunting in Santa Monica, with the help of his girlfriend. The actor is looking to purchase a home near where Garner and their kids live.
It should also be noted, Woman's Day can't keep its stories straight when it comes to all those involved in this article. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming that Josh Duhamel was "practically living" with Garner and her kids. This latest take on the narrative fails to mention exactly when Duhamel moved out and Affleck moved back in. Of course, Garner isn't dating her Love, Simon co-star, so it's all nonsense.
The tabloids have had very little insight into Affleck and Garner's respective love lives since they split nearly three years ago. This latest article surrounding the actor's nonexistent breakup with Shookus and equally imaginary reconciliation with Garner is more lies.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
