Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner split in 2015, but that hasn't stopped the tabloids from making up stories about the exes having another baby together. Gossip Cop has debunked many takes on the phony subject. Here are a few recent examples.
Less than a month ago, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for falsely claiming Garner was pregnant and the baby belonged to either Affleck or her boyfriend, John Miller. The magazine insisted the actress had a "baby bump," and was also secretly hooking up with Affleck behind her boyfriend's back, so she wasn't sure who the father of her child was. The narrative was absurd. Garner isn't expecting a child, and made it clear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a few years ago that she's "done" having kids. The actress also hasn't rekindled any sort of romance with her ex-husband. Affleck and Garner are on good terms and successfully co-parent their three kids together, but they won't be co-parenting a fourth.
Earlier in September, Gossip Cop called out Woman's Day for making up a story about Affleck and Garner having a baby to celebrate him getting a year of sobriety. The tabloid maintained that the actress was so happy about her ex staying clean for a year that she had taken him back and the two were having another child. The outlet ignored the fact that she's been dating Miller for more than a year. There was also zero evidence to back up the idea that Garner was pregnant, except for a single photo of the actress wearing loose-fitting clothing. Although the actress is certainly happy about Affleck getting sober, they're not reconciling or having a child to celebrate.
Last year, Gossip Cop debunked an absurd Star story claiming Affleck was expecting babies with both Garner and his then-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus. The magazine alleged that the actor got his ex-wife pregnant during a sleepover at her house, but Shookus was also carrying his baby. In reality, neither woman was pregnant. There was no secret "sleepover" between Affleck and Garner. Meanwhile, his relationship with Shookus ended just a few months after we corrected the article.
Also last year, OK! wrongly reported Garner was pregnant and the baby could belong to either Affleck or Josh Duhamel, her co-star in the movie Love, Simon. Everything about the story was ridiculous. As Gossip Cop noted at the time, Garner and Duhamel laughed off rumors about them dating while promoting their movie last year. It should also go without saying at this point, but Garner and Affleck have never gotten back together at any time since their 2015 split. In fact, just a few months after we debunked OK!'s story last year, the ex-spouses finalized their divorce.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
