Did Ben Affleck really ignore questions during a Justice League panel at Comic-Con and spend the entire event texting? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has the truth.

The Batman portrayer was on hand for a Q&A session at the San Diego convention last month, along with other cast members from the upcoming DC Comics movie. An article in the latest issue of Star, however, claims the actor was completely dismissive of the gathering and spent the entire time on his phone. A supposed “source” tells the magazine, “He literally sat there with his head down texting the entire time. It was only a 30-minute interview but he barely answered a thing.”

The outlet’s dubious insider continues, “There were times when he didn’t look up when asked a question, and [Jason Momoa or Gal Gadot] had to wing the answer for him. It was just so rude to everyone.” But unfortunately for the unreliable tabloid, all of these claims are provably untrue. A video of the entire Comic-Con panel can be found online, and at no point during the event is Affleck ever on his phone. Instead, the footage shows the actor engaged and involved throughout, happily answering fans’ questions about the upcoming superhero movie.

Of course, Gossip Cop has repeatedly busted Star for publishing false reports about the actor, so we’re not surprised by this latest fabrication. We recently called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Affleck’s friends were worried about him relapsing. Gossip Cop also busted the magazine last year when it wrongly reported Affleck and Jennifer Garner were renewing their vows and having another baby. Watch the entire Justice League Comic-Con panel below for proof that the outlet’s latest story is totally bogus.
