Ben Affleck is not secretly dating Ana de Armas, his co-star in the upcoming thriller Deep Water, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the romance rumors. There's no truth to them.
According to Woman's Day, the actor has been "on a string of secret dates" with Armas, who was recently cast alongside him in an upcoming film. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Ben speaks fluent Spanish and he used it to woo Ana when they first met last month. Now he's telling pals he's intoxicated by her."
The supposed source goes on to say that Affleck's pals have warned him not to rush into a romance with the actress "in case it all turns sour" before their movie even goes into production, but he "couldn't help it and took her on a date almost immediately." The anonymous tipster further contends that Jennifer Garner has caught wind of the romance and she's "less than thrilled" about it, but Affleck "can't wait to start filming so he has an excuse to spend 12 hours a day with Ana."
The tabloid hides behind an untraceable "source" to back up its phony premise, but Gossip Cop reached out to Affleck's spokesperson, who tells us on the record it's untrue. Despite what the outlet's seemingly imaginary "insider" claims, the actor's rep confirms he's not dating de Armas.
It should be noted, Woman's Day has a habit of arbitrarily linking the actor to his female co-stars. Back in October, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Affleck was "getting flirty" with Janina Gavankar, his co-star in the upcoming addiction drama The Way Back. Once it became clear the two weren't a couple, the tabloid decided to drop that bogus storyline.
Meanwhile, the unreliable outlet claimed in April that Affleck had gotten back together with Garner six months after finalizing their divorce. The ex-spouses haven't reconciled. In reality, the actress has been dating Cali Group CEO John Miller for more than year. This latest article makes no mention of what happened to Affleck and Garner supposedly rekindling a romance.
It's also worth mentioning, the gossip media has made up so many stories about Affleck dating his various co-stars that Gossip Cop recently published an article featuring several false love connections we've debunked. The tabloids usually wait until the actor has arrived on set before wrongly reporting that he's dating a co-star. In the case of Affleck's film with de Armas, Woman's Day didn't even allow it to go into production before jumping into the fake narrative.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
