Bella Hadid is NOT “starving” herself, despite an alarming report from the tabloids. Gossip Cop can correct the story.

As Gossip Cop reported, Hadid will walk in the upcoming 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Now according to OK!, she’s “starving for fame” and went to extreme lengths to score a spot on the runway. “To get there, she felt she had to remake her body,” claims the magazine.

“She pretty much starved herself before her audition,” a so-called “insider” alleges. “It was her goal for 2016 to get on that catwalk, so she basically consumed nothing but protein shakes, green juices and piles of vegetables and salads for weeks.” That sounds like a health-conscious diet, but apparently to the outlet and its “insider,” it counts as “starving” one’s self.

Still, there’s also details about “rigorous exercise” so her “hip bones [would] be jutting out,” and a claim that “Bella’s bust also may have gotten a boost.” The publication quotes a doctor who has never even met the rising star as saying her “breasts look more full and upright.” With all these “extreme measures,” the supposed source alleges Hadid “had work done just to land this gig.” Adds the tipster, “Bella wants to outshine everyone on that runway. She’s very competitive. It’s just a shame she felt she had to change herself to make this happen.”

No, the real shame is that OK! printed this story in the first place. The tabloid isn’t truly concerned about Hadid’s health. If it was, the magazine never would’ve featured what amounts to a body-shaming story about female insecurities.

Notably, the article makes zero mention of the real medical issue Hadid battles every day: Lyme disease. And given the complications from that, Yolanda Hadid’s daughter takes her health quite seriously. She is not jeopardizing it for “fame.”

What’s also telling is that just last week, OK! took a different approach, claiming Hadid’s friends were worried about her health because she was supposedly partying too much. It seems like the magazine is just throwing things against the wall to see what sticks, and that’s just not okay.
