Bella Hadid and Miguel are not on their way to becoming a "hot couple" because they shared a supposedly "flirty moment" at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, despite a ridiculous report. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.
As Gossip Cop reported, the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show filmed in Shanghai earlier this month and aired on CBS Tuesday night. This year's performers during the runway show included Miguel, who took the stage for two songs. At one point, Miguel escorted Hadid on the stage, and now HollywoodLife is sensationalizing their brief interaction.
"Does Bella Hadid have her eye on Miguel?" asks the webloid. "The pair shared a super cute moment during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and now we can't help but wonder if these two are the next hot couple!" The site writes, "When Bella came out on the catwalk, Miguel made a beeline for her while he was singing. Without missing a beat Miguel offered Bella his hand, and in a flirty return she pointed right at him before taking it. The pair held hands as Bella made her way down the rest of the catwalk."
The outlet goes on to assert, "When Bella began to make her way back she caught Miguel's eye once again. If you look closely, you can see that Miguel spots Bella and follows after her for a moment before turning his attention back to the crowd. Puppy love, anyone?" Adds the online publication, "The moment was incredibly cute, and although it's pretty common for VSFS performers to interact with the models during the show, this seemed to have an added spark to it. We sure hope Bella's ex, The Weeknd, wasn't watching!"
HollywoodLies, as it's known, essentially busted its own story. It IS "pretty common," as the blog acknowledges, for the entertainers to interact with the Angels during the event. A simple Google search brings up, for example, a photo of Lily Alridge with her arm around Bruno Mars one year, while another picture shows Rihanna clasping hands with Doutzen Kroes. Being flirtatious is the norm, not the exception, making Hadid and Miguel's "flirty exchange" perfectly ordinary.
The webloid is only contending they had an "added spark" for the sake of running a salacious story. Gossip Cop won't be surprised if the site follows up this article with purported "exclusives" about Hadid and Miguel's supposedly blossoming romance. After all, that's what the outlet did when it falsely claimed Hadid was having "hot & heavy hookups" with Drake in October. To put it simply, HollywoodLies lives in a fantasy land.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
