Rachel Lindsay Bachelorette Recap June 5

“The Bachelorette” on Monday had Rachel Lindsay going on dates that involved the “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” mud wrestling, and horseback riding in Beverly Hills. She also had to deal with DeMario returning after being sent him home and eliminating four more men. Get this week’s recap and spoilers below.

Week Three of this season’s “The Bachelorette” began with DeMario coming back to the mansion, wanting to talk to Rachel after he was ejected for lying about having a girlfriend. While they stood outside, with security around her, DeMario said, “I messed up” and “can’t let you go.” He added that he wanted to gain her trust back. But Rachel said she didn’t want a man who lies to her, and again told him to hit the road.

Next, Rachel headed back into the mansion for the rose ceremony. Not entirely surprising, she sent home Lucas (“Whaboom”) and his rival Blake E., as well as Jamey. After they were eliminated, Blake E. and Lucas, who knew each other from before, had an argument outside the house. Blake E. called Lucas a “clown” and yelled, “F**k you, bro,” adding, “You’re piece of s**t.” He maintained Lucas was only on “The Bachelorette” because he wanted to be on TV and was nothing more than a failed comedian. “Go back to your steroids,” replied Lucas.

Finally, after all of that drama, Rachel went on a group date to the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” with Alex, Bryan, Fred, Jonathan, Peter and Will. The guys thought they were just going to watch the show, but DeGeneres invited them onstage and made the bachelorette’s suitors strip their shirts off and dance for the women in the audience. The talk show host then had the men play “Never Have I Ever.” Among the embarrassing questions asked of the men were whether they’ve ever thought about having sex with Rachel, peed in the mansion’s pool, texted a nude selfie, and kissed the bachelorette.

After “Ellen DeGeneres,” Fred expressed that it was time to finally “make a romantic move on her.” Then, during the group date that night, Fred told her that he wanted to kiss her and asked, “Is this the time I can kiss you” “You’re asking me?” she exclaimed, before adding, “Now I feel awkward.” But they still kissed. And instead of it bringing them closer, Rachel kept thinking of Fred as the “little boy” she knew many years ago. The bachelorette admitted that she couldn’t “reciprocate” and sent Fred home right then. At the end of the night, Alex got the group rose.

Rachel then went on a one-on-one date with Anthony. The two rode horses down Beverly Hills’ famed shopping street Rodeo Drive wearing cowboy hats. They even rode their horses into a boutique and bought boots. Later, they shared a romantic dinner outdoors with spectacular views of Los Angeles and danced as a jazz quartet played for them.

Rachel’s girlfriends from last season’s “The Bachelor” stopped by the house. After the bachelorette introduced Raven, Jasmine, Corrine and Alexis to the guys, Adam, Brady, Bryce, Dean, Eric, Jack, Kenny and Lee got into a van for the show’s second group date. They all headed to a place called Cowboy Palace for mud wrestling. The two finalists were Bryce and Kenny. Incredibly, firefighter Bryce beat pro wrestler Kenny.

The group date rose went to Eric, who curiously Bryce and Lee told Rachel was on the show for the wrong reasons. At the end of the show, Eric confronted the men about why they were talking trash about him. He even yelled at them before the rose ceremony, which will air in two weeks.
