Bachelor Recap March 7 2017

On Monday’s “The Bachelor,” Nick Viall went on his two remaining fantasy suite overnight dates in Lapland, Finland with Rachel and Vanessa. After having spent the night with them and Raven beforehand, Nick narrowed down the bachelorettes to two when he sent Rachel home. Get the full recap and spoilers below!

As Gossip Cop previously reported, last week’s episode nine of “The Bachelor” had Corinne being eliminated before Nick headed to Finland, where he had his first fantasy suit overnight date with Raven. This week’s show began with Raven waking up in a cabin with Nick and telling the camera she was “satisfied.” She then danced around the streets of Lapland.

Next, the bachelor went cross-country skiing with Rachel. She was an inexperienced skier, but they eventually reached a reindeer sanctuary. During their time there, Rachel opened up to Nick while sitting in front of a roaring fire in a shack. She told the bachelor she was “scared” of the whole process and “rejection.” They then took a reindeer sleigh ride during which they kissed the whole time. Nick and Rachel went to a cozy cabin, where they shared a romantic dinner and talked more about their feelings. She even told Nick, “I’m falling in love with you.” The bachelor responded that he’s “falling” for her as well, and after some more kissing, he slipped her an invitation to the fantasy suite.

Rachel agreed to an overnight date with Nick. The two then went into a bedroom in the cabin. But before the door closed, Rachel told the camera, “This is exactly the man I supposed to be with.” The next morning after they got out of bed, Rachel felt, “Last night was so perfect,” and that it “moved us to another level.” She added that she’s ready to “seal the deal.”

After that, Nick had his third and final fantasy suite overnight date with Vanessa. But before that, they took part in a Finnish custom of immersing oneself into a freezing, icy pool, and then going into a hot sauna. They did that a number of times before settling into an indoor hot tub. Nick told the camera that he loved how Vanessa was always ready to face her “fears” and “challenges.” He also noted that he had “confidence in our relationship.”

While in the warm water of the hot tub, the two talked about a few unresolved issues. Nick pointed out that she comes from a very traditional family, while he admitted that he’s anything but traditional. Next, they had dinner under a giant tent in front of a fire. The talk got serious again quickly. Vanessa asked whether he would move to Montreal, where she’s a special education teacher. “I never imagined living in Canada,” he replied, adding that he’s “proud to be an American.” Vanessa then told Nick, “I love you.” After some kissing, he gave her an invitation to the fantasy suite. Not surprisingly, she said yes.

They then went into a hotel, and began kissing on a bed. Vanessa could then be heard in voiceover saying Nick is the “person I want to spend the rest of my life with.” The next morning, they woke up in bed and Vanessa told him again, “I love you.”

It was then time for the rose ceremony inside another cabin. In tears, he told the women he loved them all. But, as widely known, Nick eliminated Rachel, who moments before said it would be “devastating” if she and the bachelor didn’t get engaged. Of course, Rachel is now slated to be “The Bachelorette” next season. At the end of the show, Nick was torn up over whether he would propose to Raven or Vanessa.
