On Monday’s “The Bachelor,” Nick Viall went on four hometown dates and received a surprise visit from ex Andi Dorfman. Get the full recap below!

As Gossip Cop reported, last week’s episode seven of “The Bachelor” left four women in the running for Nick’s affections: Corinne, Rachel, Raven, and Vanessa. Now, for the next part of his journey on episode eight, the reality star traveled to each contestant’s hometown to meet their families. First up was Raven, who was from Hoxie, Arkansas.

There Nick embraced all that rural life has to offer, including climbing a grain bin and going four-wheeling through a swamp. Nick was fearful when a cop approached, only to find out it was Raven’s older brother. With her dad battling lung cancer, Raven was especially excited to introduce Nick to her parents. Fortunately, it was revealed her father went into remission while she was away for the ABC competition. Nick also received her dad’s blessing to propose, though Raven was too scared to say she was falling in love.

Nick next went to Dallas to meet up with Rachel, who took him to her predominantly black church. He enjoyed the experience, which led to a discussion about interracial dating. “I’m not colorblind. I know you’re black,” Nick said. And Rachel’s family had some concerns, although her older sister was married to a white man. Nick was asked about “the elephant in the room,” and said he was ready to face any societal challenges “head on.” Ultimately, he won the family’s approval.

For his third hometown date, Nick flew to Miami, where he would finally meet Corinne’s much-talked about nanny. But first, she took him shopping at a high-end mall to show Nick “a day in the life of Corinne.” As she spent thousands, Nick took note of the unordinary expense. Corinne then became the first girl to say “I love you,” after which “the infamous Raquel” made her long-awaited appearance. She served them dinner, even as Corinne’s mom insisted Raquel was part of the family.

Nick actually had one-on-one time with Raquel, who warned him not to “hurt” her “daughter.” Corinne’s dad was most interested in whether the bachelor could support the lifestyle to which his daughter was accustomed. “I’m okay with being the breadwinner,” she insisted. Both Raquel and Corinne’s dad said, “If she’s happy, I’m happy.” And Corinne again dropped the L-bomb.

Lastly, Nick reunited with Vanessa in Montreal. The bachelor was introduced to the special education teacher’s adult-aged students, which he found to be a “touching” and “emotional” encounter. With Vanessa’s parents divorced, Nick first met her mother’s side of the family, which was quite large. Her “overprotective sister” was unnerved that the couple hadn’t yet discussed living in different countries, and threatened, “I’ll hate you if you break her heart.”

Both Nick and Vanessa ended up shedding tears over her family’s doubts, and they still had to visit her dad, who told the reality star, “I can’t give you my blessing just like this.” Vanessa’s father was not happy that Nick also asked the other parents for their approval when he wasn’t ready to propose to one of them. He reluctantly gave his blessing, and Vanessa was also turned off that Nick was seemingly at the same level with the other three women.

After all that, Nick settled into a New York hotel with a big decision to make: Who would he keep for the Fantasy Suite dates and who would he eliminate? But before he could make his choice, he received a surprising visit from Andi. As Gossip Cop has reported, Nick was the runner-up on her season of “The Bachelorette” in 2014, and infamously revealed on “After The Final Rose” that they had slept together.

Now Andi unexpectedly knocked on Nick’s hotel room door, leaving viewers with a cliffhanger ending. As they say in showbiz, to be continued…
