Did Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s marriage really need saving? A new tabloid report contends the couple’s marriage is “stronger,” but only after they rescued their relationship with therapy. While uplifting and dramatic, Gossip Cop has learned the initial claim about past marital issues is simply “not true.”

The allegation can be found in the pages of In Touch, which has an article titled, “Ashton & Mila: How They Saved Their Marriage.” According to the magazine, the couple is in a “good place” after going through a purported “rocky period” in their marriage. The tabloid quotes a so-called “source” as saying that after some unspecified issues, “They agreed to parent equally and support each other’s careers equally.” The publication’s questionable “insider” goes on to claim that now they prioritize “everything around their family, their busy work schedules, play time, visits to the gym, visiting with friends and family – nothing is taken for granted.”

But that’s not all. The outlet’s supposed “source” further contends that they’ve “even had couples therapy to keep their lines of communication open.” The alleged tipster concludes, “They work really hard at it. They won’t allow their marriage to become a Hollywood casualty.” And while tabloid lists, for instance, how they no longer take things “for granted” and have better “lines of communication,” it oddly doesn’t give one example of what was wrong and needed fixing in the past.

Still, Gossip Cop investigated the story and, as opposed to the tabloid’s unnamed and untraceable “source,” Kunis’s rep assures us the couple has never had marriage problems. Quite simply, the entire report is nothing more than a fabrication seemingly designed to trick readers into thinking the pair were, at one point, close to a split. It’s all “not true,” says the spokesperson.

Of course, Kutcher and Kunis have been happily together since they started dating in 2012. In a recent interview with E! News, Kunis gushed about her marriage, referring to Kutcher as her “unbelievable partner in crime.” While the two are indeed “happier than ever,” it has nothing to do with them reaching that point after undergoing couples therapy.

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the inaccuracy of the tabloid’s article since the magazine has a history of publishing off-base stories about the couple. In 2016, Gossip Cop corrected the outlet when it falsely claimed Kutcher and Kunis had a public fight and were caught in a “screaming match.” There was no truth whatsoever to that article, nor is there to the latest one about them having to save their marriage.
