One of this week’s tabloids claims Ashton Kutcher and Matthew McConaughey’s friendship is suffering because their wives Mila Kunis and Camila Alves don’t get along with each other. The premise is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

According to OK!, the two actors are having trouble maintaining their friendship because their wives are “at war.” An alleged insider tells the magazine that Kunis and Alves are “just not fans of each other,” adding that the women are extremely competitive and have nothing in common.

“Mila just rolls her eyes when Ashton talks about what a great mom and philanthropist Camila is, and Camila doesn’t like hearing what a sports fanatic Mila is,” adds the supposed source. The questionable tipster goes on to say that Kutcher and McConaughey would “love to have family outings, but they both agree that the women in their lives need to get along before that can happen.”

Despite what the tabloid’s anonymous and seemingly imaginary “insider” claims, Gossip Cop is told on the record by Kunis’ spokesperson that there’s no truth to the story. Another source close to the situation wasn’t sure the actor’s wives had even met. Regardless, a rep qualified to speak on Kunis’ behalf confirms the magazine’s article is false.

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by OK!’s bogus story. Gossip Cop has already debunked several phony claims about all those involved in this latest report. Just last week, we busted the magazine for wrongly reporting that Kutcher was making a movie version of his MTV prank show “Punk’d.” There’s no such project in the works.

Gossip Cop also called out the tabloid for trying to trick readers into believing that Kunis gave the magazine an “exclusive” interview about her marriage. However, the actress never discussed her relationship with the tabloid. In reality, the publication pulled quotes the actress gave in various TV and print interviews and sold it as an “exclusive” interview with her.

And earlier this year, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming that Anne Hathaway was upset about McConaughey having “body odor” while filming love scenes for their upcoming movie Serenity. The actress’s own rep assured us the story was “completely made up.”

The magazine has a very poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about Kutcher, Kunis and McConaughey. This latest article seems to have been concocted simply because two actors are pals, but the idea that their wives don’t like each other is baseless.
