Did Ashton Kutcher really start a fight with Mila Kunis for speaking Russian at a friend’s dinner party because he felt left out of the conversation? That’s the claim coming from one of this week’s tabloids, but Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight. We’re told it’s “false” and “made-up.”
“Ashton Says ‘Nyet’ To Mila’s Red-Hot Conversation,” reads a healine in the latest issue of Star. The accompanying story quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Mila and Ashton were chatting with a nice Russian couple, and everything was fine until Mila, who speaks fluent Russian, started conversing with them in her native tongue.” The outlet’s alleged “partygoer” continues to claim that Kutcher had “no clue what they were talking about and was getting really annoyed at being left out,” and according to the publication, he turned “borscht-red with anger.”
The tabloid’s supposed “insider” goes on to purport that Kutcher “snapped,” before arguing that his wife “should speak in a language” he can also understand. And to conclude its bogus piece, Star ridiculously contends Kunis was “at a loss for words,” and “after a little stammering, switched back to English.” But Gossip Cop investigated the seemingly manufactured report, and a source close to the couple tells us on the condition of anonymity that the story is not only “false,” but “made-up” and “hilarious.”
Contrary to Star‘s ridiculous tale, Kutcher didn’t start a fight with Kunis for speaking Russian at a friend’s party. In fact, the only remotely factual aspect of the entire report is that the Ukraine-born actress can speak the language, and subsequently, her eldest daughter Wyatt can understand Russian. During an interview with Seth Meyers, Kutcher gushed over 3-year-old Wyatt being bilingual. “She’s learning Russian. She has English down. She can like speak and understand English. She can speak and understand Spanish. And she can understand Russian, but she can’t really speak it yet,” the actor said. If little Wyatt has picked up Russian from being around Kunis, obviously Kutcher has, too, after years spent by the actress’ side. He’s not entirely shut out if his wife uses the language.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has busted the often discredited magazine for publishing a phony article about the couple. Last May, we corrected the tabloid for falsely announcing in a cover story that Kutcher and Kunis were getting a divorce. We even called out the unreliable outlet’s sister publication, OK!, when it wrongly claimed Kunis was pregnant with twins. Much like those fabricated tales, this latest one about Kutcher starting a fight with the actress because she spoke Russian at a friend’s dinner party is equally untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
