HollywoodLife is pretending to have “exclusive details” about Ariel Winter’s response to online trolls who shame her for wearing sexy outfits, but the site has no insight into the situation. Gossip Cop is told no one close to the actress has divulged her opinion on the matter to the untrustworthy webloid.

“Ariel Winter Thinks Trolls Need ‘To Get A Life’ — Refuses To Stop Sharing Sexy Pics,” reads a new headline on the website. The “Modern Family” star often posts provocative Instagram photos of herself wearing skimpy outfits, prompting some commenters to slam her choice of clothing. A so-called “source” tells the site, “Ariel tries to ignore all the haters as much as she can, but it does get to her sometimes. She’s not going to stop posting whatever photos she wants though, and she knows that trolls are just an inevitable part of social media.”

The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say Winter has worked hard to get in shape and wants to flaunt her body, adding, “As far as she’s concerned people trolling her Instagram need to get a life, and leave her alone to live hers.” But Gossip Cop checked in with an actual source close to the actress, who exclusively assures us no one in her inner circle spoke to HollywoodLife about her “response” to trolls. In fact, this phony story seems to have been concocted simply because Winter herself spoke out against online critics last month.

As Gossip Cop reported, Winter went on a Twitter rant slamming body shamers for constantly attacking her fashion choices. The actress wrote, “I don’t know what to wear everyday so I look ‘appropriate’ and ‘fashionable.’ Also, screw to always having to look appropriate and fashionable. For what? Society? Who gets to decide what is appropriate and fashionable? I wear what I like and no one should fault me for that.” She further called out paparazzi for snapping her picture during “wardrobe malfunctions.”

Winter already issued her response to online haters, so it’s unclear why the unreliable webloid decided to write a follow-up story with fake quotes from a supposed “source” who allegedly knows her. If you want the actress’s “exclusive” response to trolls, you’ll find it on her Twitter feed, not on HollywoodLife.
