A ridiculous new tabloid report alleges Ariel Winter pays boyfriend Levi Meaden to take care of her, but this story is simply false. Gossip Cop can expose this fake news.

An article in the latest issue of Star quotes a supposed "source" as saying the "Modern Family" star is the "breadwinner" in her relationship with the actor, "but she wants to let Levi take care of her too, even if it's with her own money." The outlet's dubious insider adds, "He treats her like a princess, which they've joked is a full-time job."

According to the repeatedly discredited tabloid, Meaden earns a wage to cook, clean and perform other household chores for his girlfriend. "Some of Ariel's friends worry that she's throwing too much cash his way," adds the magazine's seemingly nonexistent source. "Why would he go on auditions when he can stay home and still collect a paycheck?"

Despite how absurd the outlet's story sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a rep for the actress, who exclusively assures us the tabloid's report is a perfect example of "fake news." We're further told, "Ariel has a boyfriend and a personal assistant but they are definitely not the same person. Levi has not, nor would he ever, receive money from Ariel. That insinuation is incredibly insulting to our client and her relationship." Winter's spokesperson adds, "And while we understand that it is not within Star magazine's normal habits to properly fact check, we would encourage them to reach out to us in the future so that we can clear up any confusion, and avoid nonsense like this moving forward."

It should be noted, Star is the same outlet that wrongly reported Winter was getting fired from "Modern Family." However, Steve Levitan, the co-creator and executive producer of the ABC series, exclusively told Gossip Cop, "Nothing could be further from the truth. Ariel is a beloved cast member and a crucial part of our show." The tabloid's latest article about the actress is equally bogus.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
