Ariel Winter's friends are worried she's about to elope with boyfriend Levi Meaden? That's the claim in one of this week's new tabloids, which says the actress's pals believe she's too young and successful to marry the lesser-known actor. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively clear up the situation.
According to the National Enquirer, the 19-year-old "Modern Family" star's friends are no fans of her 30-year-old boyfriend and think she's rushing their relationship. A so-called "source" tells the magazine, "She's had such a tumultuous family life. Emancipated from her mom, Ariel had to grow up radically fast, longs for a stable family and now plays house with Levi in her $1.5 million pad. And Levi's making damn sure he plays perfect spouse, even doing the cooking!"
The outlet's questionable insider adds, "Pals worry he'll convince her to elope, but pray she will not," before noting that the actress's net worth is significantly higher than her boyfriend's. In very unnatural language, the publication's alleged source continues, "And marriage? She's 19 and just started college. But Levi's plotting to put a ring on it in a flash. Yet not one member of her 'Mod Squad' wants to see BabyCakes make a huge mistake!"
Despite how fabricated the article's quotes sound, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Winter, who exclusively assures us on background that there's simply no truth to the tabloid's report. In fact, Winter posted an Instagram photo last month of her and more than a dozen friends out to dinner for Meaden's birthday. She captioned the image, "Squad celebrating baby's 30th at #Tao." If Winter's friends actually disapproved of her relationship, it's doubtful they'd be happily celebrating the occasion.
Unfortunately, we're not surprised by the magazine's bogus report. The Enquirer is the same publication that Gossip Cop recently called out for making up a story about Winter enrolling in a "sexy selfie" course. Shortly after that nonsense, we busted the tabloid's sister outlets, RadarOnline and Star, for falsely claiming Winter was begging Meaden to get her pregnant. Actually, the actress also took aim at those media organizations. Winter personally mocked them on Twitter for the pregnancy tale. This latest article is simply more fiction about the "Modern Family" star.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
