Ariana Grande turns 22 on Friday, and to celebrate her birthday, Gossip Cop looks back at five really wrong rumors that we exclusively blew out about the singer.

In no particular order, there was an absurd claim by In Touch that Grande’s “new rule is that she has to be carried — literally carried like a baby — when she doesn’t feel like walking.” The tabloid quoted a so-called “source” as saying, “She doesn’t want her precious feet to hit the floor.” Of course, that rumor wasn’t grounded in reality, and Grande’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop exclusively that the claim was “fake.”

Equally fake was a Star story that wrongly reported Grande was dating “Entourage” actor Adrian Grenier. Not only did Gossip Cop bust it, but Grande, who had no idea who Grenier was, later tweeted, “Who the hell is that?”‘

Unfortunately for Grande, one person she does know is Perez Hilton, who falsely accused the former Nickelodeon star of doing cocaine at a party. Gossip Cop was first to debunk the untrue claim, noting from an inside source that Grande is so anti-drugs, she’s even afraid to take over-the-counter medications like Tylenol.

Then there was the bizarre Star report that alleged Grande forced an assistant to “feed her water” rather than carry a bottle herself. The tabloid said, “She had an assistant follow her around with a bottle of water and a straw,” and when thirsty would scream, “Water!” The rumor, not surprisingly, was all wet. Her rep told Gossip Cop exclusively that it was not true.

And finally, OK! ran a story about how Grande was “catty” and constantly fighting with her “Scream Queens” co-star Lea Michele. One problem: As Gossip Cop reported, when the tabloid published its bogus claim the two women hadn’t even met. Whoops!

Gossip Cop sincerely hopes Ariana Grande has a happy and rumor-free birthday!
