Antonio Banderas has NOT been hospitalized in Switzerland for severe chest pains, despite an inaccurate webloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk this claim.

The actor was admitted to a hospital in the U.K. earlier this year after experiencing chest pain while exercising, but he was released in good health the same day. According to RadarOnline, however, Banderas was rushed to the Clinique de Genolier medical center near Geneva this week after suffering a similar episode.

The outlet goes on to purport the actor’s “health has been going downhill again,” and doctors might prevent him from flying to his hometown in Spain, where he’s scheduled to receive a lifetime achievement award on March 25. But shortly after this story emerged, a rep for Banderas said in a statement the actor is in “perfectly good health” and was never admitted to the Genolier clinic. Banderas’s spokesperson noted he recently underwent medical examinations in a Swiss clinic, but he wasn’t hospitalized and is safe to travel.

And while the actor had a minor heart attack in late January and had three stents put in, he’s now fine. In fact, Banderas himself posted a Facebook video on Monday in which he’s effortlessly climbing a rock wall. He went on to mock the bogus report about his health condition, writing in Spanish, “Apparently, some media today have had a Heart Press Attack.”
