A report claiming Anna Faris is avoiding moving forward with boyfriend Michael Barrett because she's still "not over" Chris Pratt and is completely false. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony premise. It's entirely inaccurate.
According to RadarOnline, the actress is having second thoughts about her relationship with Barrett because she still has feelings for her estranged husband. An alleged insider tells the blog that Faris has been "drowning her sorrows in wine" at the idea of Pratt moving on. "She thought she was too. But now she's putting on the brakes," adds the questionable source.
The site's account of the situation is simply fabricated. Just a couple of weeks ago, Faris and Barrett enjoyed a trip to Italy with her 5-year-old son Jack and other family members. In a report about the pair's vacation, the Daily Mail even made a point of noting, "It looked like things were going great for the couple, who cuddled, kissed and flirted while relaxing on a speedboat with a close group of friends."
In addition to encouraging Barrett to bond with her son, Faris also introduced her boyfriend to her parents earlier this year. The actress began dating the cinematographer last September, just one month after announcing her separation from Pratt, and it seems the two have become increasingly serious in the time since. Meanwhile, reputable outlets such as E! News have stressed in the past that Faris and Pratt are "both ready to move on with their lives."
It's possible the blog came up with this storyline because Faris' ex appears to be in his first real romance since the couple's 2017 split. It was reported last week that the actor has been casually dating Katherine Schwarzenegger for around two months. It's likely RadarOnline saw this as an opportunity to allege that Faris can't get over Pratt, despite all of the evidence proving otherwise.
It should be noted, the website's sister publication, OK!, made up a similar story last year about Faris struggling to "move on" from Pratt. Less than a month after Gossip Cop busted the bogus claim, the actress started dating Barrett. We also called out the blog's other sister outlet, Star, for wrongly reporting that Faris and Pratt were having a "co-parenting crisis." In reality, the exes have both indicated that they're working amicably to raise their young son. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Faris, but it's patently clear she's happily moving on with her new boyfriend.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
