Anna Faris has not warned Chris Pratt that their 6-year-old son Jack can't call Katherine Schwarzenegger "mom," despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this falsehood. We're told the claim is "ridiculous."
According to Star, Faris is "laying down the law." A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "Anna has made it clear that Jack is never allowed to called Katherine mom." The supposed source adds, "She also doesn't want [Schwarzenegger] to be left alone with Jack."
The magazine then notes that Faris doesn't exactly practice what she preaches. "Anna doesn't seem to have such stringent rules about her own new romance with cameraman Michael Barrett, who she's been dating for nearly a year," writes the publication without noticing its errors. How exactly is Faris's relationship "new," if she and Barrett have been together for "nearly a year"?
But that's hardly the biggest problem with the tabloid's article. Its ill-informed or seemingly manufactured "source" offers, "[Faris] and Michael are always out with Jack, so it's a bit hypocritical." Actually, it's not hypocritical at all since Jack doesn't call Barrett "daddy," nor is the youngster left alone with the cinematographer while Faris is elsewhere.
The outlet is comparing apples and oranges and coming up with lemons. It feels as if whoever made up this nonsensical story didn't think through his or her premise and just concocted a bunch of quotations that don't really support the article's narrative. Of course, while they're close to being divorced, Pratt and Faris are still legally and he's not even engaged to Schwarzenegger, so the tabloid's headline, "Anna's Stepmom Rules For Katherine & Chris," is also 100 percent inaccurate.
In fact, the "Mom" star and Pratt have no "rules," other than being very cordial and respectful to one another. Faris even told Woman's Health in an interview earlier this year that she and Pratt "communicate openly," and "we reiterate that there aren't rules to this. We have a lot of love and friendship, and our big goal is to protect Jack." Still, Gossip Cop doubled checked all this with a mutual friend of ours and Faris, and we're reassured the tabloid's claims are "ridiculous."
We're not completely surprised by the falsity of this story. In the past, Gossip Cop has busted Star on several occasions for its misinformation about Pratt. We previously busted them magazine when it wrongly maintained Pratt's friends were pushing him to date Jennifer Lawrence, his Passengers co-star, following his split from Faris.
And we corrected the outlet when it speculated that Pratt was dating a "mystery blonde," who he was spotted with at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Los Angeles. The woman was actually one of his employees. Much like those articles, the latest one about Faris warning her Pratt about their son calling Schwarzenegger "mom" is similarly untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
