A new tabloid report alleges Angelina Jolie is "wasting away" as Brad Pitt ignores the actress's supposed pleas to take her back, but there's not truth to the story. The article is simply more lies surrounding the actress's health and divorce. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

The latest issue of the National Enquirer features a follow-up story to a bogus article that Gossip Cop debunked last week, which claimed Jolie wore a special ring given to her by Pitt at the 2017 Telluride Film Festival as a way of sending a message that she wants him back. The magazine's new story says the actress's supposed scheme failed, quoting a so-called "source" as saying, "This was a Hail Mary pass to Brad to consider taking her back. But he completely shut her down and now she's a total mess!"

The untrustworthy outlet goes on to say Jolie has become "emaciated" as a result of her estranged husband's rejection, and her "weight has once again plummeted to life-threatening levels." The publication then quotes a doctor who hasn't treated the actress as noting that one "loses heart muscle with rapid weight loss," prompting the tabloid to declare that Jolie is "literally dying of a broken heart."

Of course, Gossip Cop already debunked the absurd notion that the actress wore her estranged husband's ring on the off-chance that he'd see paparazzi photos of her finger and be moved to take her back. Regardless, we still checked in with a Jolie insider about this follow-up report, and we're once again assured it's more "nonsense." The actress isn't suffering any major health issues, nor did she make a secret gesture to win over Pitt.

Unfortunately, Gossip Cop constantly has to bust the Enquirer for publishing false stories about the actress, so we're not surprised by this latest piece of fiction. We recently corrected the tabloid for wrongly reporting Jolie feared Bell's palsy would ruin her career, despite the fact she had already recovered from the condition. Shortly before that, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for making up a phony story about Jolie getting her leg veins removed. This latest article is more lies from the repeatedly discredited outlet.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
