HollywoodLife is pretending to have "exclusive" details all about how Angelina Jolie is "readjusting to the single life" in the year since she and Brad Pitt separated, but the article is entirely fabricated. Gossip Cop can expose the webloid's made-up story.

First, the untrustworthy site claims to have the scoop on whether or not the actress is ready to start dating again. A so-called "source" tells the outlet, "Angelina really hasn't thought about getting into a new relationship. It's just not where her head is at. All of Angelina's focus has been on the kids, and ensuring that they are healthy and happy." Naturally, all parents want their kids to be "happy and healthy," so there's nothing remotely revelatory about any of this.

The outlet's questionable insider continues, "It's been an absolute nightmare of a year, but Angelina's starting to feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel." The alleged "source" then boasts additional "exclusive" knowledge such as, "Angelina has been meditating a lot" and "she's finally made peace with herself." The phony insider adds, "The anger and bitterness she felt towards [Pitt] has dissolved, and she's no longer second guessing her decision to end their marriage."

Although some of these details might very well be factual, HollywoodLife didn't procure this information from an actual Jolie source. Gossip Cop has repeatedly been assured that no one in the actress's trusted inner circle is in contact with the unreliable website, and that remains the case. Jolie's confidantes certainly aren't talking to the often discredited outlet about her "single life." The webloid's quotes are both fabricated and could apply to just about any single mom going through a divorce.

In fact, this isn't the first time HollywoodLife has pretended to have insider knowledge about how the actress is moving on from her split. Gossip Cop recently busted the site for making up an article about Jolie's alleged "dating plans." We also debunked the outlet's phony story about Jolie becoming a "loner" after her marriage ended. This latest report is similarly bogus.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
