Angelina Jolie is not developing a romance with a younger "boy toy," despite a completely bogus report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We're told there's no truth to it.
Earlier this month, a young man was photographed accompanying Jolie's 9-year-old daughter Vivienne to her karate class in Los Angeles. The tabloid NW identifies the 20-something-year-old as Oscar Crane, who worked as a production assistant on Jolie's 2014 drama, By the Sea, and as an assistant director on her new Netflix film, First They Killed My Father.
According to the unreliable magazine, Jolie's friendship with Crane "has progressed to a much more personal level" since they worked together on her films. The outlet further contends that a "romance could soon be on the cards." An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Oscar has become a daily visitor to her mansion in Los Feliz. He's become one of Angelina's most trusted aides."
The tabloid's suspicious source adds, "He's proven himself on set and that has translated back to her being comfortable with him interacting with her family. It certainly raised some eyebrows that Oscar has become more involved with the kids in public, a job Angelina only allows those closest to her to undertake."
This story is inaccurate on a number of levels. For starters, the young man pictured with Vivienne in Los Angeles is actually Oliver Crane, Oscar's brother. Their father is Simon Crane, Jolie's longtime stunt coordinator who worked with her on such films as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Salt and Maleficent, to name a few. The Crane brothers are the actress's family friends, and she's not developing a romance with either one of them.
To recap, not only did NW incorrectly identify the young man photographed with Jolie's daughter, but the tabloid was also unaware of his connection to the actress and her family. If the outlet actually had a reliable "insider," it would have known this key information Regardless, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the actress, who wasn't at liberty to comment on the record, but laughed off the tabloid's error-filled article.
As for the actress's love life, Gossip Cop understands that Jolie is single and isn't interested in dating anytime soon. Instead, the actress is currently focused on caring for her six kids. Sometimes she gets help from family friends, such as Oliver Crane, but he's most definitely not Jolie's "boy toy."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
