A new report claiming Angelina Jolie is "thinking of getting back together" with Brad Pitt following his GQ interview is entirely false, and Gossip Cop can expose this fake news.
As Gossip Cop reported, Pitt revealed in a new GQ Style cover story that he quit drinking and smoking pot following his divorce, and is currently seeing a therapist. The actor also admitted to having a problem with booze in the past, but revealed that he's been sober for six months and is leading a healthier lifestyle. HollywoodLife, which routinely publishes bogus reports about the former couple, is now claiming to know Jolie's "exclusive" reaction to her estranged husband's interview.
The site quotes a supposed "source" as saying Jolie is "happy" about Pitt "moving past some of his unhealthy habits," and now that he's turning his life around, "the thought of getting back together with him has crossed her mind." The outlet's questionable insider goes on to purport that Pitt's interview "reminded her of the Brad that she fell in love with years ago" and now "anything is possible for their future."
Of course, Jolie is most likely pleased for the sake of their six children that her ex is staying clean and seeking to improve himself. The issue, however, is that no one close to the actress spilled this tidbit to HollywoodLife. Gossip Cop has been repeatedly assured by a reliable source close to Jolie that her inner circle isn't in contact with the webloid. Had the actress actually told a trusted confidante about her opinion of Pitt's interview, which only hit shelves on Wednesday, that person wouldn't immediately run to HollywoodLife with the details.
HollywoodLies has continuously insisted that the ex-spouses might reconcile by citing false information from phony "sources." On Wednesday, Gossip Cop called out the site for publishing a bogus story about a reunion between Pitt and Jolie. On Tuesday, we busted the site for saying Jolie "misses" Pitt. Later that same day, Gossip Cop debunked the webloid's assertion that Jolie is "terrified" of Pitt dating other women. All of these inaccurate reports were based on "exclusive" quotes from alleged, yet seemingly nonexistent insiders.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
