Is Angelina Jolie really undergoing a procedure to have the veins in her legs removed? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has the truth.

According to the National Enquirer, the actress has unsightly varicose veins in her legs that she wants surgically extracted through a risky operation. A supposed “source” tells the magazine, “Angie knows ‘stripping’ the veins will hurt, and she’ll be off her feet for weeks. But she’s tired of having to cover up all the time.”

The outlet’s alleged insider adds, “People will have a field day if they ever see how veiny her legs have become! She’s really self-conscious about it.” The questionable source goes on to claim Jolie’s problem isn’t merely cosmetic, as her supposedly bulging veins could potentially lead to blood clots if left untreated. “After all the terrifying health issues she’s been through the past few years, that really scared her,” adds the “insider.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Jolie, who laughed off the tabloid’s report before exclusively assuring us it’s “not true.” Of course, the Enquirer is one of the biggest culprits when it comes to publishing bogus stories about the actress’s health. That’s why this latest piece of fiction doesn’t come as much of a shock.

Gossip Cop recently busted the publication’s phony cover story alleging Jolie only weighed 78 pounds and was on the brink of death. Shortly before that nonsense, we called out the magazine for concocting a false report about Jolie battling an eating disorder. Although the actress has been open about some of her actual past health issues, including undergoing a double mastectomy, the Enquirer’s insistence on diagnosing her with nonexistent ailments and repeatedly maintaining she’s on the verge of dying is both insensitive and untrue.
