Angelina Jolie is not “keeping tabs” on Brad Pitt using Google alerts, despite a fake news story from a webloid that repeatedly publishes lies about the estranged spouses. Gossip Cop can set the record straight. We’re told it’s just “more bull.”
HollywoodLife, which either manufactures its sources or has a slew of horribly unreliable ones, alleges in a new report that the actress is struggling with her breakup from Pitt and wants to maintain some “hold over” after they divorce. The outlet’s supposed “insider” says Jolie “wants to know exactly what Brad is up to at all times” and even keeps “tabs on him” with Google alerts. The site’s questionable source further contends that Jolie plans to “drag out the divorce for as long as possible,” because the actress knows once the divorce is finalized, she’ll no longer “be in control.”
Of course, Gossip Cop has exhaustively called out HollywoodLife for publishing verifiably untrue articles about Pitt and Jolie, so we were understandably hesitant to believe this latest report. Our doubts were confirmed after checking in with a source close to Jolie. Gossip Cop is exclusively assured that the actress isn’t getting tens of thousands of Google alerts per day to “keep tabs on Pitt.” Our impeccable insider calls the claim “more bull.”
Jolie and Pitt share six children. She knows how to reach him, if need be. The actress doesn’t need Google alerts, which are daily filled with numerous fake news stories, including from HollywoodLies, as it’s known. As for the assertion that she’s stalling the divorce process for fear of losing “control” over Pitt, Gossip Cop is told that’s also absurd.
This latest article is yet another example of how the webloid baselessly pretends to know the separated spouses’ motives and inner thoughts. On Sunday, Gossip Cop busted the often discredited site for falsely claiming Jolie was “terrified” of Pitt dating again. Curiously, the untrustworthy outlet doesn’t mention anything about Jolie’s British boyfriend. Perhaps, after Gossip Cop humiliated the blog for posting a slew of fabricated articles about the nonexistent man, it wisely decided to stop making up stories about him. Maybe if HollywoodLies got Google alerts every time Gossip Cop pointed out its fibs, it would stop publishing lies about Jolie and Pitt.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
