Angelina Jolie and Jared Leto did NOT secretly date years ago, despite a wholly fabricated report. Gossip Cop can debunk the 100 percent inaccurate story.

Not surprisingly, this falsehood is coming from HollywoodLife, a webloid responsible for a disturbing number of untrue articles about Jolie and Leto over the last few days. For this latest “exclusive” (ahem), the headline blares, “Jared Leto & Angelina Jolie: He Regrets Letting Her Slip Away After Secret Fling.” Noting “Jared Leto and Angelina Jolie are rumored to be hooking up after her split from Brad Pitt,” it’s alleged, “the former co-stars used to be ‘friends with benefits’ but Jared wouldn’t commit.”

“Jared and Angelina had a very casual relationship years and years ago, it was a friends with benefits situation,” the repeatedly wrong site quotes a so-called “source” as saying. This “source” (cough) goes on to claim, “It might have turned into more but Jared was too noncommittal at the time, he just wasn’t ready to be with one woman, not even Angelina. Then Brad came on the scene and she fell in love and that was that. I know Jared always had regrets about letting her slip away.”

No, Leto doesn’t have any regrets. HollywoodLies, however, most definitely should for peddling yet another completely false tale. As Gossip Cop has already reported, Leto and Jolie are NOT dating, but that hasn’t stopped the site from picking up an untrue Star story, and then using it to spawn more untrue dating stories about Jolie and Leto. And this “secret fling” article is the latest example.

No outlet has ever legitimately reported on Jolie and Leto dating back in the day, and that HollywoodLies wants readers to believe the online publication suddenly got this big, real scoop is laughable. It’s also pathetic. These manufactured posts are transparent, and Gossip Cop is committed to holding the webloid accountable for spreading such fake news.
