Angelina Jolie is not in the midst of a “career crisis,” despite a new tabloid report claiming the actress’s expensive divorce from Brad Pitt has her scrambling for movie roles. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

Last year, Jolie was in talks to star in a remake of the 1975 thriller, Murder on the Orient Express, but she ultimately passed on the role. An article in the latest issue of OK! now says the actress regrets turning down the film because she’s in need of money. “She’s got huge expenses related to her divorce, and she’s not making much off her directing projects,” a supposed “source” tells the magazine. “She needs to reassert her leading lady status before the offers dry up.”

However, Jolie has never been one to sign on to a movie for a paycheck. The actress consistently makes films she’s passionate about, including the upcoming Cambodian genocide drama, First They Killed My Father, which she wrote and directed. And with an estimated net worth of $160 million, it’s unlikely that Jolie is hurting for money, despite going through a divorce.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a trustworthy source close to the actress, who exclusively assures us she’s happy with all of her recent career decisions and remains financially sound. There’s simply no truth to the tabloid’s claim otherwise. Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the magazine’s inaccurate report.

Gossip Cop recently busted OK!’s phony cover story alleging that Jolie wants to get back together with Pitt. Shortly before that, we debunked the outlet’s cover story wrongly reporting that Jolie was having a “breakdown” over her divorce from Pitt. This latest article from the unreliable tabloid is equally bogus.
