Angelina Jolie is not "worryingly thin" following her split from Brad Pitt, despite a new report based on several false claims that Gossip Cop already debunked. We can once again clear up these baseless rumors about the actress's well-being.
According to The Inquisitr, the stress of Jolie's divorce is impacting her ability to eat. The unreliable site quotes a supposed insider as saying, "Divorce isn't easy for anyone, and Angelina Jolie is beginning to show the strain from her split with Brad Pitt. She shocked fans when she showed off worryingly thin arms." The outlet's vague article doesn't mention the specific event where she "showed off" her figure, or the identity of these "shocked fans."
The blog further contends that Jolie only consumes "a few hundred calories a day," with her diet consisting mostly of coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, cheese and fruit. The site also recycles old nonsense about the actress weighing less than her 11-year-old daughter Shiloh. The outlet concludes its bogus report by insisting that Jolie rarely has time to eat because she's too busy talking to lawyers and negotiating the custody of her six kids.
However, the majority of this baseless article has been lifted from stories that Gossip Cop already corrected. Last week, we called out Now UK for wrongly reporting that Jolie wasn't eating due to the stress of her divorce. Gossip Cop, however, was assured by a source close to the actress that the breakup of her marriage hasn't led to starvation.
Divorces are inherently difficult, but Jolie even said in a recent interview that she's focused on her health. "I'm being smart about my choices," Jolie said in a Vanity Fair cover story. She added, "I'm putting my family first, and I'm in charge of my life and my health." Regardless, there's no truth to the site's claim that the actress's divorce has brought on an eating disorder.
Also, Gossip Cop has repeatedly called out The Inquisitr for perpetuating false stories surrounding Pitt and Jolie's divorce. We recently busted the site for claiming that the actor didn't believe his estranged wife could ever make a relationship "work." That bogus claim, however, was taken from a piece published by Celebrity Insider. With its latest article, the blog is simply attempting to spread more lies about Pitt and Jolie's split.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
