Angelina Jolie is not "melting down" over "stress" from her purported "custody war" with Brad Pitt, despite a report. Gossip Cop can bust the provably false story. There is evidence showing Jolie is coping just fine.

Last week, it was revealed that a judge determined Pitt can visit with their children while Jolie is temporarily based in London during filming of Maleficent 2. The order strongly urged Jolie to facilitate a relationship between the actor and their kids, and specified how often Pitt can see them. If Jolie interferes, she could lose physical custody.

Now RadarOnline is quoting a so-called "insider" as saying, "She's not handling it well at all." This supposed source alleges of Jolie, "The stress is all consuming and she's been skipping meals and losing a lot of sleep." And with the development coming as Jolie works on the sequel to her Disney film, the site's alleged tipster asserts, "The movie is a hugely important project for her but she's finding it hard to focus."

Actually, not only is Jolie able to focus on the film, but she's also multitasking. During a weekend break from production, Jolie went to Mosul on Saturday as part of a visit organized by the United Nations Refugee Agency. As a special envoy, there she met with families who are still suffering nearly one year after the Iraqi city was liberated from ISIS control. Though Jolie candidly spoke during her trip about the "devastation" she witnessed, one striking photo shows her smiling as she holds hands with a child and is surrounded by several more kids.

If Jolie was "melting down," and the "stress" of her custody issues with Pitt was "all consuming," she wouldn't have been able to go on such a humanitarian trip. But not only did she make the visit, People further reports Jolie is "doing great." The credible magazine notes the Oscar winner is "focusing on her work," and showing her kids to "focus on others, not on their own troubles."

RadarOnline appears to be misrepresenting the situation, just as it did in March when it wrongly claimed Jolie and the kids were making a permanent move to London and Pitt wouldn't be able to see them. On top of having a history of inaccurately sensationalizing what is and isn't going on with the exes, the outlet is now relying on a single unnamed, untraceable "insider" for this latest bogus spin. As opposed to crumbling over the latest custody developments, there is clear evidence Jolie is carrying on with her life as normal.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
