Angelina Jolie has been pushed to her "breaking point" by Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, according to a completely wrong report. The story rests on the entirely false premise that Pitt and Aniston are "back together." Gossip Cop can debunk the inaccurate claims.
The untrue article is featured in this week's National Enquirer with the dramatic headline, "Brad & Jen Push Angie To Breaking Point!" According to the supermarket tabloid, Pitt and Aniston are not only "back on," but their "intimate reunion has shattered" Jolie. The gossip magazine specifically alleges Jolie has been forced to "binge" on psychotherapy in order to "cope with Brad's betrayal."
"Angelina was absolutely heartbroken over Brad and Jen getting back together," a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying. This supposed source claims to the outlet that while Jolie goes to therapy weekly, her distress over her estranged husband's love life has her "considering going more often." What's more is the publication alleges Jolie learned of "Brad's secret hookups with Jennifer" before Aniston even separated from her husband, Justin Theroux.
The purported tipster contends, "Angelina had heard from friends that Brad and Jen have been meeting up... It's her worst nightmare," and further claims she's "totally humiliated" over "Brad seeing Jen before their divorce is final." From there, the tabloid goes on to repeat its debunked allegations from last September about Jolie "wasting away" over Pitt's supposed rejection of her. An alleged snitch adds, "Now this Brad and Jen thing has really touched a nerve."
But there is no "Brad and Jen thing," at least not any real "thing." The gossip media has spent years speculating about the former spouses reuniting, and those unsupported rumors are currently in overdrive in the wake of the actress' split from Theroux. The exes, however, still have not rekindled the romance they once shared. And it is highly unlikely there will be an Aniston-Pitt reunion, especially considering they haven't seen each other in quite some time, contrary to these contentions about "secret hookups" and get-togethers.
As for Jolie, there's nothing scandalous about her seeking counseling. Pitt himself went to therapy following their separation, as do many people after a breakup. Even without a divorce, there's plenty of reasons people meet someone with whom they can talk confidentially. It doesn't necessarily mean the person is at a "breaking point." Furthermore, it makes no sense to allege Jolie is getting treatment due to a nonexistent reconciliation between Pitt and Aniston. The Oscar winner was not betrayed by them, but readers are being betrayed by the National Enquirer with its wrong information.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
