As Gossip Cop reported, 13-year-old Green was Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer pick back in July. For her audition, she belted “Stand By You” in honor of her mom, who was watching from a few feet away at the side of the stage. Following a standing ovation, Simon Cowell told her, “This is one of my favorite auditions of today. You’ve made my goosebumps have goosebumps. The truth is, we don’t get many people like you for a reason because they’re hard to find. Genuinely I’m excited because I think you’re so talented.” And Klum, who is a mom herself, told Green, “I really, really love what you did. To me you feel like there’s an old soul in that young body. And I loved it to so much, I’m going to hit the Golden Buzzer.”

Naturally, Green, who was already emotional, couldn’t help but cry over Klum’s move. The advantage meant the teen would be able to skip the second round of the NBC competition, known as the Judge Cuts, and go directly to the live shows. There is, arguably, one down side, however. While most of the other contestants performing in tonight’s quarterfinals already had two chances to impress the judges and win over America, the aspiring star only had one so far. Now for her second turn on the stage, Green had to sing live and do well enough in hopes of securing one of
seven remaining spots in the semifinals.

Before the new performance, Green said of her successful audition, “It was one of the best days of my life.” She went on to speak of her brother’s support, and the little boy sweetly told the camera, “I am Angie’s number one fan. And for her to be living her dream is for me to be living my dream.” Afterward, the singer beautifully performed Sara Bareilles’ “Gravity,” backed by a pianist and string orchestra. Klum and Mel B both gave a standing ovation.

The supermodel told Green, “I stand 100 percent behind you and you made me so very proud… The tone, the texture of your voice is so special, so beautiful… You should be very proud of what you’ve just done.” Cowell told her, “What I really want to say is it doesn’t matter whether you’re 13, 23 or 33, you have a beautiful voice… I believed it was your song, you weren’t singing someone else’s song.” And Mel predicted, “What you just did is going to speak to everyone.” She added, “You are amazing.” Watch the video below!
