Angelica Hale AGT Quarterfinals

Angelica Hale gave her first live performance on “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday, singing “Clarity.” Watch the video below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, 9-year-old Hale stunned when she sang “Rise Up” for her “America’s Got Talent” audition, which aired in early June. She did even better during the Judge Cuts. After covering Alicia Keys’ “Girl On Fire,” Hale was awarded the Golden Buzzer by guest judge Chris Hardwick. The advantage secured the little girl’s place in the quarterfinals, regardless of how the rest of the panel felt. Of course, the regular judges all loved her performance, too. Howie Mandel even said both times that she has a good chance of winning season 12.

Now, before taking the stage to sing live on the NBC competition for the first time, Hale and her parents spoke about the double pneumonia she contracted at just 4 years old, leading to a kidney transplant. While the aspiring star is considered healthy today, she still needs to get her blood checked every three months. “I never thought five years later, I’d be performing live tonight in front of all of America,” she said. “And you know what? The judges ain’t seen anything yet.”

Hale then came out on and belted “Clarity,” leading to a standing ovation from all four judges. Mel B told her afterward, “Well, for a start, I thought what an amazing song you have chosen… You just did everything to it. You did it so much justice. You’re so small and you’ve got this massive voice!” Heidi Klum said, “I love this song, too… You hit those high notes! I was like, what?!… 9 years old, I can’t believe this!

Simon Cowell told Hale, “I just think you’re a very, very, very special girl… It was like the girls said, a great choice of a song… You just hit us with that killer high note at the end, and that was amazing.” Mandel praised the contestant’s “range,” “control” and “beauty,” before predicting he knew the answer to his question. “Why are you in it?” he asked.

“I’m in it to win it,” Hale adorably replied, prompting the comedian to tell her, “I think you might.” Check out the video below!
