One of the tabloids claims Aquaman co-stars Amber Heard and Jason Momoa are "getting too cozy" for his wife Lisa Bonet's liking. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony drama. We've learned the story is totally made-up.
According to NW, Bonet isn't happy about her husband getting "flirty" with his co-star while promoting their upcoming superhero movie. The outlet contends that the actress is particularly worried because Heard has a history of hooking up with co-stars, including ex-husband Johnny Depp, who she met on the set of The Rum Diary.
An alleged insider tells the magazine that Bonet is getting to the point where she's ready to "warn Amber off her man." The supposed source adds, "Amber and Jason don't just hang out on set - they're insanely inseparable off set too." It should be noted, Aquaman wrapped filming in October 2017, so the two haven't been "on set" in quite some time. Still, the questionable tipster adds, "Lisa's not giving up her man without a fight."
The tabloid's article is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "source," but Gossip Cop reached out to Bonet's rep, who tells us on the record that it's "completely unsubstantiated." The actress isn't jealous or worried about her husband's friendship with his co-star, nor does she believe the two are getting too close while promoting their film. The magazine's article was designed to create a nonexistent love triangle.
It should be noted, Bonet and Heard were photographed embracing on the red carpet at the premiere of Justice League in November 2017. The picture was taken after Momoa and Heard had already spent months working together. Bonet clearly didn't have an issue with the actress immediately following the filming of Aquaman. There's no reason to believe she's all of a sudden wary of Heard's relationship with her husband.
In reality, the outlet saw the opportunity to create a bogus narrative surrounding Momoa, his wife and his co-star now that Aquaman is about to hit theaters. Unfortunately, it's a common practice for the tabloids to claim that chemistry between two co-stars is arousing jealousy in one of their significant others.
Additionally, NW is the same unreliable magazine that Gossip Cop busted earlier this year for wrongly reporting that Heard was dating Magic Mike co-star Channing Tatum. Shortly after we shot down the romance rumors, it was revealed the actor was in a relationship with singer Jessie J. This latest article is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
