Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen’s marriage is not “on the rocks,” despite a completely inaccurate report in one of this week’s new tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the alleged marital drama and we can exclusively set the record straight.

An article in the latest issue of Star claims the actress has been spending lots of time alone after her husband of two years, who co-founded the website CollegeHumor, accepted a big position at Facebook. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “It’s an amazing opportunity, and Allison was thrilled for him. But the hours are killer, and that’s never easy on a relationship, especially now that her workload has lightened.”

The outlet’s seemingly phony insider goes on to say the dynamic has been “a lot for them to adjust to,” but Williams is trying hard to save her marriage. Gossip Cop, however, is told by a source close to Williams that the tabloid’s report is simply “not true.” It’s also odd that this bogus story would crop up all of a sudden, considering that Van Veen took on his role as Facebook’s head of global creative strategy back in June 2016.

Additionally, Williams recently wrote a tribute to her husband on Instagram in honor of their second anniversary. Along with a photo of the couple’s half-eaten wedding cake, the “Girls” actress wrote, “Turns out, if your wedding cake is made with ingredients from a box per your demands (store-bought funfetti and frosting), it’s still delicious even two years later – after you forget to eat it on your first anniversary. Happy second anniversary, Ricky. I love you.” Clearly, the couple’s marriage is showing no signs of trouble.

It should be noted, Star is the same unreliable outlet that Gossip Cop previously called out for falsely alleging Williams was suffering from an eating disorder. We also previously busted the tabloid for concocting a phony feud between the actress and her “Girls” co-star Lena Dunham. This latest article surrounding Williams’ marriage is equally baseless.
